OLIVE TREE ADOPTION

WHY SAVE AN OLIVE TREE ?

This project began when Pierluigi Giachi, owner of Tenuta Torciano, discovered a large hilly area in Tuscany where many ancient olive trees had been abandoned since the 1980s.

These historic trees were neglected because olive cultivation in this terrain requires extensive manual work and maintenance. Compared to vineyards in the Chianti area, olive trees are more difficult to manage and often produce lower yields.

Despite these challenges, Pierluigi and the Tenuta Torciano family decided to restore these beautiful trees and protect a unique agricultural and cultural heritage of Tuscany.

Today we invite you to join us in helping save these historic olive groves.
