Save an Olive Tree in Tuscany
Pierluigi Giachi and his family created this project to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Tenuta Torciano (1720–2020).
The goal of the project is to preserve more than 7,300 centuries-old olive trees located on our estates around Florence, where outstanding Tuscan olive oil is produced every year.
These ancient trees require constant care and manual work to survive. Through the Torciano Adopt Program, we aim to financially support their preservation and ensure their environmental value continues into the future.

Why Adopt AN OLIVE tree IN TUSCANY
When you adopt an olive tree, you actively contribute to the care and preservation of these historic Tuscan plants, supporting essential practices such as pruning, cleaning, and maintenance -an ancient agricultural tradition that keeps the trees healthy and productive over time.
Your adoption allows you to follow the life of your tree throughout the seasons, from pruning and flowering to olive growth and harvest, creating a real connection with the land and its natural rhythms.
Each olive tree also plays an important role in protecting the environment, absorbing approximately 730 kg of CO₂ every year – an amount comparable to a flight from New York to London, over 1,100 miles driven by car, or thousands of hours of computer use.
By adopting a tree, you help preserve the beauty of the Tuscan landscape, support sustainable agriculture, and continue a centuries-old farming tradition.
ABOUT TORCIANO
Tenuta Torciano is a hidden jewel in the heart of Tuscany, located near San Gimignano, perfectly positioned between Siena and Florence.
Our winery represents 13 generations of winemaking tradition, combining ancient agricultural knowledge with modern techniques to produce wines and olive oils of the highest quality.
Each adopted tree includes a personalized certificate of adoption, and you can give your tree a name. A wooden plaque engraved with your name will be placed near your olive tree. If you adopt a vine, a plaque with your name is placed on your row of 4 to 6 vines, and you receive bottles crafted from the grapes of your adopted vine.
You will receive a certificate of adoption for each plant adopted in which you can name your tree(s) and commemorated with an engraved plaque featuring the name of each tree and your family name.
