Pierluigi Giachi and his family created this project to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Tenuta Torciano (1720–2020), near San Gimignano, between Siena and Florence.
With Torciano Adopt you can adopt one of our olive trees or a vine for one, three or five years, for yourself or as a gift, and follow its life throughout the seasons.
Every adoption includes a personalized Certificate of Adoption and a plaque with your name. The olive trees give Florentia Extra Virgin Olive Oil; the vines give bottles crafted from the grapes of your adopted vine.
The goal of this initiative is to protect and restore more than 7,300 centuries-old olive trees located on our estates around Florence.

Why Adopt AN OLIVE tree
You will have the opportunity to adopt one or more olive trees for ONE, THREE, or FIVE years, contributing directly to the care and maintenance of these precious plants.
Each olive tree makes a meaningful contribution to the environment through its natural absorption of CO₂. By helping keep these trees in optimal condition, we can continue to enjoy their extra virgin olive oil with unique properties, while preserving the timeless beauty of the Tuscan olive groves.
At the same time, this experience allows you to feel part of something real – to truly become an Italian farmer, even from afar.
You will be able to follow the life of your tree throughout the seasons, including:
- cleaning and care operations
- pruning, an ancient art essential for its preservation
- flowering
- the birth and growth of olives

ABOUT TENUTA TORCIANO
Tenuta Torciano is a hidden jewel in the heart of Tuscany, located near San Gimignano, perfectly positioned between Siena and Florence.
Our winery represents 13 generations of winemaking tradition, where ancient agricultural knowledge blends with modern techniques to produce wines and olive oils of the highest quality.
When you adopt a tree, you will receive a personalized certificate of adoption. You can also name your tree, and a wooden plaque engraved with your name will be placed next to it. If you adopt a vine, a plaque with your name is placed on your row of 4 to 6 vines, and you receive bottles crafted from the grapes of your adopted vine.
You will receive a certificate of adoption for each plant adopted in which you can name your tree(s) and commemorated with an engraved plaque featuring the name of each tree and your family name.

With this program together we save 7200 of old Olive trees located in Tuscany – Italy you will contribute to the care and maintenance of these precious plants. Each olive tree makes a great contribution to the environment with a great absorption of CO2, and by keeping the olive trees in optimal conditions we could continue to enjoy their extra virgin olive oil with unique properties, as well as keeping intact the beauty of the Tuscan olive groves.
